Faculty & Staff List 2025-26

My name is Don Fitz-Roy, and I have taught science and technology at several private schools and boarding schools in Massachusetts, Los Angeles, and Southern Vermont. I have worked with twice exceptional students in several capacities, both at a school for students with dyslexia and executive functioning issues, as well as in traditional settings and summer camps for bright and neuro-diverse students.  I am a huge fan of applying science in the form of technology and exploring our greater world through experience and inquiry.  I have taught traditional science, computer science, led several robotics teams, and have helped facilitate a Maker-space classroom.

I am excited to move from the suburbs to the country and help students discover their unique gifts and talents as they explore the world, develop a passion from STEM learning, and continue to grow.  

I have two cats, Ziggy and Gooshie, and both of them are excitedly eyeing the rabbits on campus from our window. I am a fan of the MCU and Doctor Who, I participate in an Improv Comedy Group in Westchester County (sometimes over Zoom!) and I enjoy being a screenwriter and movie / music producer and DJ in my spare time.  I am excited about incorporating artificial intelligence and robotics, and I’m interested in finding ways to do this with our students.

I’m interested in working with students both in the classroom and beyond the walls of the classroom, developing a rapport and being able to share my interests and knowledge and hopefully spark interests in our students. I’m most excited about expanding our robotics curriculum with a series of problem solving challenges that will involve engineering and coding skills.  The possibilities are endless!
