Hi, my name is Bryan Newell and I'll be taking on the role of dorm parent at Hampshire Country School. I've been an educator for over 7 years, teaching mostly High School English with one year of Middle School in there. I have my MFA in Creative Writing from Stonybrook University and double majored in English and Anthropology earning a BA with Honors from Fordham University. In my youth I was a camp counselor, the kids called me Chewie because of my big mane of hair. One of my stops along the way in my teaching journey was at a boarding school where in addition to my classroom responsibilities I ran weekend activities, coached girls volleyball and basketball, and ran an advisory. I love frisbee, film photography, tie dye, bubbles, and baking. I'm excited to bring my skills and passions to bear on dorm life at Hampshire Country School and to help these boys grow into the best versions of themselves. |
